the eyes {photo challenge}

So, The Paper Mama has a photo challenge every week.

This weeks challenge is 'eyes'.

She asks that the photos be of your kids, even the furry ones.

I knew just what photo I could share with you all for this.

This is Axle.  We were on a 9 hour drive out to the desert.

He is a good road companion, and he's pretty cute too!

Here we are again!

I'm going to start off with a picture that I'm sure will surprise you all!

Yup!  We BBQed again!

But this time there was asparagus!!!

Last week we took or coffee date on the road!

We made our coffee and headed down to the river to just hang.

straight out of bed...

yeah, I didn't even brush my hair.

It was great.

The poppies are blooming all over!

I love it!

This my friends was the makings of the best freaking burrito!

THE BEST!  in fact I wish I had one now!

My local grocery store started stocking organic beer!

Wishing for sundress weather

We have had ridiculously nice weather all winter, and now it's rainy and cold!
I want to wear my cute sundresses dang it!
So, since I can't really wear them yet I'll just drool over some on pinterest!

Insta-Friday time!

Okay, my days and weeks have totally been blending together.

Good thing there is instagram to keep things in line... sorta.

From our girls night last week.

St. Patty's day.  AKA good excuse to buy Guinness!

My favorite! Sauteed mushrooms! I could've ate the whole pan!

Last weeks morning coffee date.  LOVE!

My succulents are SO happy! They are all sending out blooms! YAY!

We had one nice day in the middle of rainy ones, so we made the most of it!

Planted some new plants too.  They are going to be so cool pretty soon!

Lilly still has her cone on, and she still rules the yard. LOL!

and, pretty clouds. =)

My crazy dog = good laughs

So, my little Lilly dog is an obsessive freak.

I can say this because I'm her mom! lol!
I bring this up because she has been living with

 a cone on her head for about a month now.

It's pretty annoying, but it makes just about everything she does funny.

So, here are some pictures to make you laugh a little.

I feel like I need to just throw this out there, as a reminder to myself, and maybe to you.

I have been eating so SO good, and ate so not good today and feel gross.

So, now I'm going to bed sluggish and yucky, and tomorrow I am starting bright and early

with a nice, super green juice! Refreshed and awesome!

Hey Everyone!  Friday snuck up on me again!

I can't believe I haven't posted in a week!

I'll have to make up for it. =)

Here is what I've been up to:

I had my {what is becoming a routine} morning coffee on Saturday with the hubs.

It is so nice to just sit, talk and drink coffee!

My blueberries started to bloom this past weekend!

They are still small, but you can see where they were last year here.

I got to bask in the sun for a few hours.

It was so nice after a few cold yucky days!

We went out and I actually got to wear some of my cute shoes!

Made some really beet-y juice. It was pretty tasty.

BARELY resisted taking these little ones home!

Yeah, I know!  I may have a problem!  But it's sooo good!

Oh yeah, I got a new iPhone 4s.  AND I look like a freak! lol!

Went out for coffee at a fun spot I hadn't been to yet.

They had vegan goodies! YUM!

Well, that pretty much sums it up.

I'm heading to San Francisco in the morning.  I'm sure it will be a great time!

Famer's Market yumminess!

Tried a new beer this week.  New Belgium's 'Dig' pale ale. It's light and super tasty!  Try it!

I don't know what gas prices are looking like in your neck of the woods, but ours are getting ridiculous!

Oh yeah, and I grilled a few more times this week!

Delicata squash, potatoes, onions, leeks, and sweet potatoes!

First artichokes of the year and beets!  If you haven't tried them BBQ-ed DO IT!
They are to die for!

Well, that about sums up my week.
