Oh hey Thursday, what's up?!

How is it Thursday? Where did this week go?!
Is anyone else with me on this?

It seriously feels like Monday!

I guess all this getting ready for baby takes up a lot of time!

I've been back at crocheting this week. I think baby already has a bigger hat collection than I do!

I know if it's a boy the purple won't really work, but I had to do it anyway! I made myself one too!

I've also been trying to teach myself to knit. I've got the idea down, but I think I'm holding the needles wrong. It looks pretty silly when I stop and actually look at how I'm doing it.

My friend got me a What to Knit When You're Expecting book, and I want to make something out of it. So I better keep practicing!

Anyone crochet or knit? Or do both? Which do you like better? Or is it more like some things are better done one way rather than the other?

Pinned it and did it!

So most of the time the things I pin pretty much stay there... as pins. BUT, this week I have done not one, but TWO things that I pinned! I know, pretty awesome right!?!

So the first thing is this adorable little lamb hat.

I found this about a year ago and knew I would have to make it for my kids one day! So I pinned it and showed it to a friend... she almost died! She said I HAD to make her one when she had a baby, and now she is, so I made it!
The one I pinned however was for sale, not a pattern, but I found a similar pattern here and got to work.

She is going to love it!!!

And the second thing I pinned the other day and haven't stopped thinking about it, so I made it!
Soft Pretzels! OMG! Seriously the best thing ever! Plus they are vegan!

I followed her recipe, but used coconut oil instead of vegetable oil, and by the time I added 4 cups of flour I decided there was no way it could take any more, so I stopped there. Also, the recipe says to cook for 20 minutes, but I took one sheet out at 14 and one out at 17 {they obviously weren't cooking even}. I probably could have done less, one sheet turned out a little crispy. But they taste delicious! Especially with mustard!

MMMMM...That's the best way to eat them!!!

I think I'm going to keep this up! The whole pinning then DOing thing!

Is there any Pinterest project you've done lately?

18: Make something

So, I've been MIA for about a week, sorry. We took an unplanned visit to help out some family. But, I'm back and ready to finish up this month of happy healthy blogging. I'm not going to try and make up for the time gone, so lets just say that the past week was helping out someone who needs it, spending time with family and catching up with friends!

Now for today, make something. I have had crochet on the brain lately! So, I've been making lots of fun stuff. I made a few gifts for cousins new little babies, Matt requested a new hat (turned out pretty good), I'm working on a hat for someone else and trying to figure out finishing touches on a scarf I made last week.
It feels good to be making things. Even better to finish them! I'm pretty bad at starting things and not finishing them, but I'm getting better! I think the best part about the things I've been making is that they are for other people. I'm not the only one who gets to enjoy them! I just realized how close Christmas is too, so I need to kick it into gear!

What are you making right now? I think I'm going to start making dinner!

currently obsessing... crochet

I have some serious craftiness on the brain right now!
I just spent an hour{or two} searching for new crochet patterns.
I'm in the middle of a few projects right now, but am already looking for a new one!
Here are a few fun stitches and projects I found today!

Isn't that awesome!?! It's called Broomstick lace. I can't wait to try it!

I'm loving this crocodile stitch! I need to make a scarf like this!

I found a video tutorial for it too!

Yeah, I'm loving this! I want to make baskets for every room now!

I found this picture today, I'm going to have to figure out how to make that!

How fun would this be as a little baby throw or something?

I want to make them all! Lol!
I have a $50 JoAnns card burning a hole in my wallet, and I think I'm going to blow it all on YARN!

What are you currently obsessing over?

Insta FRIDAY!!!

WooooooHoooo!  It's FRIDAY!!!
Can you tell I'm excited?!  LOL!

I didn't do an Insta-Friday post last week, so I just may overwhelm you with pictures again!
Don't worry, they are awesome!

Look at this face! LOVE!  Averie got her hats and look how cute they are on her!

I couldn't leave the boys out, I made one for Landon too!

He makes for a great model.  Love him!

Just pretty.  That's all.

Famer's Market yumminess!

Tried a new beer this week.  New Belgium's 'Dig' pale ale. It's light and super tasty!  Try it!

I don't know what gas prices are looking like in your neck of the woods, but ours are getting ridiculous!

Oh yeah, and I grilled a few more times this week!

Delicata squash, potatoes, onions, leeks, and sweet potatoes!

First artichokes of the year and beets!  If you haven't tried them BBQ-ed DO IT!
They are to die for!

Well, that about sums up my week.
How was yours?
