Day 1: Go to the beach!

This month I've decided to be a part of the nesting place 31 day challenge. Basically you pick one topic and blog about it everyday for the whole month of October. As soon as I saw this I thought 'how fun! I should do that' then came 'what the heck would I blog about for 31 days straight?!' I thought what would I {and hopefully you} get the most out of an entire month of focus on? Well, this is what I came up with...

 Pretty fun right?! Who doesn't want to be more happy and healthy?
AND if you are more of one, you can't help but be more of the other!
So, follow along this month and see my interpretation of a happy healthy life! Also, go check out all the other bloggers who are participating and see what their 31 days are all about.

For Day one of course I chose: Go to the beach!

I know, you're shocked! But seriously, how good do you feel after a day at the beach?

You soak up some sun, which pumps you full of vitamin D!
The saltwater is super good for your skin! I swear it will make you glow!
AND, my favorite part, just sitting and listening to the waves! It's so relaxing and calming.

When that is your view how could you not be happy?

I know not everyone lives close to the beach, but any body of water really is magical! So, go to a creek, or river or lake! Just make sure it's someplace that makes you feel good!

Our weekend at the beach

We have been having some perfect weather lately!
Add the beach to that and you have an amazing day!
I love having the beach so close, especially when it's so warm and sunny!!!

 


When we got there it was a bit full, so we had to wait a while to get in, hence the dorky awesome 'I'm bored in the car' pictures you are about to see. I don't think there could be a better place to be waiting though!

 Okay, now I'm cute again...

I had no idea I couldn't make a fishey-face! Seriously! Who can't make a fishey-face?

We made it!

So beautiful out there!

I think we're getting the beach bum look down!

So fun! One of these days I might even try to surf myself! Baby steps! We did get an annual pass, so we will be going a lot! I can't wait!

I think I could get use to being a beach bum

I just got home from such a nice trip.  You know what I did all weekend?...

I sat at the beach!!!  That's it.  It was amazing!  

We went Saturday, and back for more on Sunday!

I got a wee bit of a sun burn on my face, but, it was worth it.  

I even got in a wetsuit and got in the water.  {nope, didn't get a picture}

But it was great!  I swam with DOLPHINS!!!

Well, they were pretty close, I'm counting it as swimming with them!

A seal did pop up right next to us!  Kinda scared me, I'm not gonna lie.

Seal = Shark! lol!

Lilly had sooo much fun!  She totally swam in the ocean!

And then rolled in the sand like a crazy dog!

She's a nut!

It really was a great time!  and so relaxing! Even the loooong drive home wasn't bad.

See, long! { I may have shaved off about and hour though}

Plus, Lilly does make for a pretty cute road companion, which doesn't hurt at all!

 Now I'm back home, counting down the days I get to go back!
